CALIFORNIA'S BEST FISHING SPOTS
YOU'RE NEVER ALONE
AT ONE OF CALIFORNIA'S
BEST FISHING SPOTS

Yalesville, Connecticut
Deep at the bottom of one of California's best fishing spots sits Hodgee, a distant cousin of the Lochness Monster. You have to admit, as silly as it sounds, it does add an air of interest to this spot. It's your choice to believe it or not, but something that is a fact is that this lake, a little over 30 miles north of San Diego is one of the best fishing spots in California.
Lake Hodges is 1,234 acres with a maximum water depth of 115 feet and 27 miles of shoreline. It has a deep earthquake fault running through the middle of the lake, and it is clearly one of California's best fishing spots.
It is known as one of California's best fishing spots, because it contains Florida-strain largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, bullhead and carp. Seriously, what more does a fisherman need?

Many of California's best fishing spots are highly populated with fishermen - amateur and pro - especially on the weekends. Lake Hodges, is said to be a quiet, yet great fishing Mecca with an abundance of largemouth bass.
When looking for the best fishing spots in California, we took into account many things. Lake Hodges is easily accessible by boat and even a wheelchair accessible fishing float. Anglers can float tubes, wade or fish from the shore, which is generally accessible by foot.
A successful fishing trip is a perfect marriage of finding the right spot, using the right lure and, of course, hoping the fish are in the mood to bite. You've got one of California's best fishing spots. Now you need the best tools for the job.
There is a new patented hard bait lighted fishing lure that blinks a blood-red light to simulate injured prey. Strikes are fast and fierce and already this new technology is setting records for catching the most bass and out-fishing other top-selling lighted fishing lures. It's perfect for the sometimes murky waters of Lake Hodges.
The battery-operated red light flashes in the lighted fishing lure's tail as it moves through the water. Fish think they've found an opportunity - a weak injured prey - and they'll strike.
